A favorite local spot on the east shore of Lake Tahoe. Off the beaten path, a half mile hike from the parking lot, Chimney Beach is on the curved shoreline with rock formations that create a peninsula into the water and a secret cove. Named after the remains of a chimney from a log-cabin, this location offers small areas of sand and large boulders to adapt as your own for the day. Hike a little farther south and you will hit Secret Cove, a clothing-optional beach.
